I started my journey as a surface pattern designer after many years working as a graphic designer. Drawing on that professional expertise, I take my hand-drawn motifs and nature inspired illustrations, and transform them into seamless patterns and prints for home decor, textiles and wallpaper designs.

Hi there, I’m Melissa.
I’m a surface pattern designer based in the Adelaide Hills, in Australia. Drawing inspiration from the outdoors, my local area and my garden, I create hand drawn florals and botanicals with a vintage feel.
My work combines gentle line work with textured layers and classic palettes to bring a country cottage or modern farmhouse feel to everyday spaces. When I’m not designing, you’ll usually find me at my sewing machine making cushions and soft furnishings, walking in nature or cooking for my family and loved ones.
